About Me

Erynn is a 26 year old primarily self taught costumer from Minnesota. She graduated from Winona State University on May 4, 2007 with a B.A. in Theatre and Dance.

Erynn has been making costumes and knitting since 1997. In 2006 she learned the basics of hand ventilating wigs during a 3 day "internship" at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, MN. She also began making chain maille that same year. In 2007 she taught herself simple tablet weaving. Erynn also enjoys playing around with her stage makeup and her Nikon D40 SLR and is always looking for new things to learn.

At Winona State, Erynn had the opportunity to design costumes for the children's shows in 2006 and 2007 as well as makeup for the children's show in 2007. Selected costumes from both of these shows were featured in the ACTF Region 5 costume parade in 2007 and 2008. In 2006 her costumes for Many Moons were voted Best Design by the Wenonah Players, and she received a Certificate of Merit at ACTF for her James and the Giant Peach costumes in 2008. She also designed costumes for the Theatre du Mississippi show The Arkansas Bear in 2006.

Other than designing, Erynn was involved in other theatre positions at Winona State such as costume shop assistant, light and sound board operator, costume and makeup supervisor, assistant stage manager and performer.

Since graduation Erynn has not been able to continue her work in theatre, but continues making personal costumes and working on her other various hobbies and looks forward to more theatre work.
